Miley Cyrus beating Pope Francis and Barack Obama for TIME magazine’s ‘person of year’

Miley Cryus is currently out-polling Pope Francis and Barack Obama for TIME magazine ‘Person of the Year’.

The online poll for TIME shows Cyrus leading with 29 percent of the vote. Following in second place is India’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi with 12 per cent and in third place with 9 per cent is NSA leaker Edward Snowden. However, these figures are sure to change before the final result is revealed.

The editors of TIME magazine will be deciding who will be Person of the Year based upon their influence on the news over the past year. Therefore, it is very unlikely that Cryus will be given the title.

Past winners included Adolf Hitler who won in 1938 when it was called Man of the Year. TIME does not choose the recipient based upon their positive impace on the world.

Experts are predicting that either Pope Francis or Edward Snowden will be given the title for 2013.
